Just to complicate things a bit (sorry!)
Setanta via Freeview is just one channel, Setanta via satellite gives you nine channels. Both cost £9.99 a month

Pretty much all the free channels on Freeview (plus hundreds more) are also available free on satellite (I think the main exceptions are Sky Sports News and E4).

If you ring Sky to cancel saying you are doing so because you are moving and there is no dish at the new house they may well install a dish free of charge. Otherwise it's £40 I think.
Will you miss the Sky+ funtionality?0 -

Yikes now im being blonde and getting confused lol!! Think we'll miss sky + in that stop and pause facility, and often the kids want to watch something thats on at the same time as me, so they record soo soo much! afraid im a bit sad in that i do tend to just watch 5 or 6 channels, being e4 as one id miss and notice really the kids only watch the music and sports, eldest has got multiroom and all in all just too expensive to go to the new house with as hubby and i have just split. Dont want the kids to be 'let down' but need to think of best way to cut back yet not lose too much!!0 -
you can get freeview boxes (pvr's) that are similar to sky+ boxes. That is can record more than one channel, pause plus lost more if your prepared to pay more expect to pay around £80 for a dual tuner and more with bigger hard drive and more features. The Humax 9200 is for example one of the best at around £170+. Topfield is another one.0

Also consider the Thomson PVR from John Lewis, about £90 with 2 year warranty included, it has 160GB Hard Drive and Twin Tuners.;)0
