Faulty product

I bought a high chair from Tesco in May 2014. The tray mechanism has broken and the company that made it are no longer trading. As it was a really expensive item (over £200) and advertised as lasting a child until they are 5, do I have any right to expect some money back from Tesco? They have said they only offer a 12 month warranty. Thank you.

Tesco may give you something. However, unless you can prove that the high chair was inherently faulty over 3 years ago, legally they dont have to do anything.0

Dont forget damage rules out any claim .
Any potential refund will be less usage .0 -
What kind of warranty did it come with and how did you pay for it?0
