MBNA PPI - Next Steps??

Hi All,

I started a PPI Claim request via Resolver a few weeks ago. I have received a response via post from MBNA, but it has not details of next steps. The main details of the letter are:

"Thanks for your request
We confirm that you hold/held the following accounts
Start Date - XXX
PPI Premiums Paid - XXX

We trust this fulfils your request."

Just wondering, if anybody has previously received this and did they need to trigger any further action? There is no more info on the letter to clarify if/what they will do next.
:undecided

Cheers for any help,

  • All they appear to have done is confirm that you had PPI.

If you want the PPI refunded, you'll now have to show that it was somehow mis-sold to you.

    What is your complaint?
  • Thanks for the response, my complaint is that i genuinely believe i was mis-sold, not just claiming for the sake of it.

There are templates on Resolver to respond, would you suggest using one of these to ask them to investigate?

    Cheers for the help

Your complaint need to be WHY you were mis sold.

They can't "investigate" a complaint unless you actually give them something to investigate.

Why do you believe the PPI was mis-sold? It's not enough simply to have had PPI, if you want it refunded, it has to have been mis-sold to you and you have to put forward a convincing argument.

If you don't have any complaint reasons, then complaining "for the sake of it" would appear to be exactly what you are doing..

If you do select one of the template letters, be sure that the reasons included in it actually apply to you.
