Good dog food at reasonable price?

Hi, we have a 3 yr old (show) Cocker and a 2 yr old Boxer. I’ve tried many foods, some expensive some cheaper. By chance we tried ALDI dog food in foil trays 30p a tray. We mix it with earls meaty chunks(sorry I can’t add links
)
Both dogs love it and it doesn’t upset the boxers delicate constitution! Both dogs look amazing on it and are thriving. What more could I ask for. !!!128077;!!!127995;:j

zooplus is also good has lots of offers. Free del over a certain price.
The Germans love their dogs too, and therefore lots of German companies supplying the doggie market. So I guess Aldi's dog food is worth a go??
Once scared of dogs, no petrified (no pun intended!) but bought a rescue puppy and now love dogs and can control my fear.

As someone mentioned at the top of this thread, everyone with a dog should visit allaboutdogfood
I can't recommend this site highly enough. I've just been on there to see how German dog food rated, and really it was just like anywhere else, there's good and bad. It didn't have a filter for Aldi sourced food, you'd need to know the name of the particular product. One thing you can do is enter your dog's weight and activity level, and it will suggest some foods, giving you daily costs amongst other things. Another thing you need to decide is wet or dry. They both have pros and cons, so I use both mixed half and half. Allaboutdogfood analyses all dog food - wet, dry, raw,etc. If you really are serious about looking after your dogs, then it would be a sin not to check it out!0 -
Dry Food we use Orlando for working dogs from Lidl - £4.99 for 10kg! (lasts over 2 months)
for wet food we mix it up a bit. we get aluminium trays from Tesco for 55p each (1 per day) or Chappie (can't remember the price) it's the best if you hate picking up dog poop. Chappie makes my dogs poop super solid so it's easy to clear up.0 -
The Langhams dried kibble from Aldi is highly rated on the Allaboutdogfood website. I noticed today they do tins of dog food and i bought a couple for my dogs to try. Their ingredients are highly rated too. 4.7 out of a possible 5.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

These are all good recommendations but I agree with several of those that buy oscar. Really good for dog nutrition and coats. When we got our lab dob mix, he had flakes and couple of patches and aside from nutritious dog food we also gave him cod liver oil vitamins..0

I have a working cocker who was 9 last month, before him I had an English Springer, and before him I had 2 labs. I've always bought James Wellbeloved and have never had any problems. It is a bit dearer than some foods you can get but it does seem to be worth it. Good firm poo and not a lot of it. I haven't looked it up on that site so I don't know it's rating but I'd definitely recommend itDon't throw sodium chloride at people. That's a salt.0

Look into raw food much better for coat and overall health. Look at video called pet fooled.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0
