Samsung XPress C460W Printer :(

I have had a Samsung XPress C460W printer for a few years now and it doesn't work. In the beginning it was ok but very prone to paper jamming. Then it had one spectacular paper jam which I then spent ages clearing.
After not using it for months I decided to have a go this morning. I wish I hadn't bothered. I constantly get the message saying the door is open. After some faffing around I have discovered that if I push the door on the back of the printer a little more firmly in it will attempt to print. No idea why it has started doing this as the door looks shut to me. Problem solved? Not a chance. Now when I print whilst holding the back door I get the message saying the output bin is full. No it's bloody well not. There's not a sausage (or any paper) in the output bin so why am I getting this message?
Is it even worth trying to fix this printer or should I take it to the recycling centre like I should have done in 2015?
