Now the cold weather is upon us, we wake up to heavy condensation on our double glazed windows and patio door.
Excess moisture isn’t always the problem. If your windows get cold enough, you can get condensation even at normal levels of relative humidity.

The moisture levels in our house aren't high but we do get condensation in the morning on the cold glass. We have a Karcher and it works very well - very good buy.

We had terrible condensation on our double glazed windows ... turns out they had slowly failed. Fitted new windows (+ new glass) and it stopped overnight...

Moisture settles in a warm room on a cold surface. Put cling film over your window to see the moisture stop (temp measure!)

Is there that much of an improvement in double glazing compared with 25years ago when we had ours fitted?

We changed the small, side window in the bedroom as we had damp on the reveal. The other window is long, typical 1960s build, so would cost a fortune.

I think 25 years is about the life of double glazing from my research... the glass we have now is filled with argon gas whereas it was just a vacuum before (that failed slowly)...
