in Cutting tax
No idea what am doing. Work as a handyman, window cleaner. I worked PAYEE until December and registered on January 5th- started work in October. Didn't do a whole lot of work until April.
Have filed receipts for tools in monthly separators; do I need to put the handwritten invoices for every £20 job done in there as well? What else do I need to protect myself if investigated (worst case scenario)?
What's the link to start the return?
Best to get an accountant to do it? It's £200

If you are creating invoices for customers then keep a copy. If you’re just issuing a receipt then either get a carbon copy receipt book and keep a copy for any cash payments or open a separate business account for all payments to come into.
Separate to this you might find some kind of bookkeeping system helps keep things in order. To start with this can be as simple as a spreadsheet for tracking sales and expenses.0
