I want to buy a new laptop

Hello all I am interested to buy a new laptop that could have the following characteristics: I would like to spend no more than $300 To have a screen at least 14" and be light as I would like to use it not only on my office. Also to have ram up to 4gb and have a quite good processor.
And not to be noisy.
I have seen some but I do not have the technical knowledge.
Thanks
Marina

This is a UK based website and as such makes it difficult to advise on a laptop when there are different models in the USA ( which is where I presume you are based) and prices are significantly different.

I think you should seek advice elsewhere.

Would be best for you to look at a Chromebook if you're after something quiet and easy to use. In Windows and Mac machines you're not going to get much new for that price.

I really want to see Chromebook. At the moment I use Macbook pro. It is quite dear for me, but it performs really well.
