Hi All I have just received a letter from the local council benefits service because one of my tenants as put a claim in for housing benefit but i am just checking to see if anyone else as also received a list of questions the council want answering by the landlord. I do find it odd on this site that some posters try at all odds to be confrontational.

Our letting agent that the local council rang about the tenant who didn't have a tenancy of the property is accredited by the housing department of the local council.

It might be because you are a new landlord who appears to have a property that tenants will want to claim housing benefit for.
