TV extra sockets

Hi, could someone please advise on the best way to add 2 extra TV sockets. I live in a bungalow and the aerial which is outside on the chimney currently has 2 points, 1 in the living room and the other in one of the bedrooms. There is an aerial socket in another bedroom on an internal wall but doesn't seem to work. I'd like a tv in the kitchen which receives the sound at the same time so it's not out of sync with the living room one. Thanks for any advice.

On the sync problem, it's the tv that causes the delay, not the aerial. Different tvs take a different amount of time to process the signal.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

the 3 existing wires will be fixed to a splitterbox somewhere, generally in the loft space. You need to find it and add your extra wire (or replace if it only has 3 outlets) you then need to run new wire down inside of cavity in kitchen wall. (good luck with that bit, it takes a bit of knowledge/skill if you unfortunately find a noggin in the wall before you get to your desired socket height.)
  • It depends on what signals you are sending around, if you are just using freeview signals from a single aerial as tonyh66 says you probably just have a splitter somewhere. This may or may not have an amplifier to boost the signal. If you have a strong signal you probably don't need an amplifier for your current 2 TVs but in going to 4 you will probably require an amplified splitter which would require a power socket nearby, and to run cables to the new locations

If you are wanting to send other signals around (such as a sky signal from your main TV) things get more complicated and you would require a distribution unit and possibly additional wiring.
  • Thanks for all the replies. It's just freeview so I'll have a look in the loft for a splitter,
  • Unfortunately, there isn't a splitter in the loft. Just 2 cables coming down the outside of the house then in through the wall.
