Thank-you for your reply and advice. what are you referring to by #3 the courts won't thank me for that point? I couldn't connect what aspect you are linking to.0

I have included in my defence that the gym has said that they don't support this and will get it dropped. Not sure why that didn't follow through. I will get that in writing. Thank-you0

Sorry yes i understand that you are referring to the third post.
Thank-you for all the responses.
The parking ticket was for parking in a disabled bay. I know it isn't fair to use a disabled spaces, and I don't park in disabled bays normally. In this situation though it was early in the morning and there were around 10 other empty disabled bays, all of which are normally empty at that time of day (were empty when I came out), and I was rushing to get back to my breastfed baby.
The management of the site by a parking firm had literally just been introduced, as prior to the ticket I had nothing of any parking enforcement. I need to confirm the dates of that with the gym.0 -

the problem with this particular situation you describe above is this
even if UK CPM had no involvement whatsoever (so no parking company was involved) , the legal issue is that those spaces are provided by law under the EA2010 for people who qualify under that law , some of which are disabled and have blue badges like me , some that dont as they cannot get those blue badges)
the landowner is legally responsible for keeping those spaces free for all of those people who qualify under the EA2010 , all of them , and for "penalising" those who abuse them and are using them despite not qualifying under the EA2010
so be careful as to which arguments you are using , because judges take a dim view of people who park in a disabled bay when they do not qualify
if a landowner contracts with a parking company , they are jointly liable for keeping all of those bays clear, which has nothing at all to do with any "new system" in place , because the restrictions have been in place ever since those bays were marked out
I would think you are better to stick to the issues regarding the "new system" and that they gym dont want this pursued
dont muddy the waters with an EA2010 issue unless YOU qualify under it (like I do)0
