Balance Transfer Question

Looking for a bit of advice!
So I have just received a Barclaycard 0% for 38 months balance transfer card and have a balance to transfer from my Clydesdale credit card before the interest free period ends in February.
My boyfriend has a Barclaycard (just a normal one that had 12 months interest free) and his interest free period ends in March. There is no realistic way to clear the amount before the interest free period ends.
So my question... Could I transfer his balance to my Clydesdale card and then send it to my Barclaycard to avoid the issue of balance transferring between the same company? I know barclaycard allow multiple transfers within the 60 day window but wondered if the sort of double transfer would be flagged to them in any way? I don't really know the ins and outs of it!

Your question is really..."Will Clydesdale allow a balance transfer from a card that is not in my name?"
Maybe check their website or give them a call?
If they will, then your plan will work.
But...others will be along shortly to tell you not to do it though!0 -
I shall double check that they will permit that then.
Dare i ask why they would tell me not to do it? Am I missing something here?0 -
Because the debt becomes yours, and should your boyfriend run off with the trollop from the fish and chip shop, you would have no comeback.0

I see what you mean about it becoming my debt but (and I'm not naive I know full well what can happen) our banking etc is all in joint names and if that's the only possible potential issue to rise out of it is the chance of him doing a runner it's still looking better than their interest rate!0
