Scammed on ebay

Paid for a new sealed samsung s8. Received nothing. Seller emailed to say it was sent via yodel. when i asked for tracking reference i got no further communication.
The private seller apparently has just sold 4 of these phones (so i feel sorry for the other 3 victims)
Stock photo on advert, no imei and no tracking.
Ebay just say wait 8 days give him the chance to refund me (really)
So struggling with my old and badly broken phone
I wish i could obtain his home address but ebay wont give this out despite him having mine.
Stressed :mad::mad::mad:

No need to be stressed -you’ll get your money back.
You can ask for the contact details of a seller once you’ve made a purchase
    https://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/contact.html#getting
Though that’s going to be a waste of time
  • If the seller cannot give ebay proof of a tracked delivery then you will be refunded. It will take until the 8th day before either you or the seller can escalate, so I suggest you get on the phone on the 8th day and ring and escalate it.

If there is no proof of delivery you will be refunded.

I take it you have opened a case..
  • How did you pay - paypal??
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • It probably won't happen but if you receive any unexpected signed for delivery items, see if the postie or courier will let you have a quick look before accepting the delivery.

It's not unheard of for a scammer to send an empty envelope or box that needs a signature just so they have a valid proof of delivery reference to enter into the dispute.

Why do you need the seller's home address? Just open a case and stop stressing. You'll get your money back.

Buy a cheap PAYG phone if you are having such a struggle with your old and broken one - plenty available from reputable online mobile phone shops for a tenner with next day delivery.
