Consolidating family credit cards

Although we are currently managing our credit cards adequately I would like to do two things:
1. Take over my partner's credit card debt transferring it over to my credit card. The credit cards are from two different companies.
2. Transfer the consolidated debt to a new credit card to take advantage of a 0% period.
Is there a way of doing this?

What you propose is indeed possible. However, some card providers prohibit transfers from cards not held in your own name. I believe Tesco is one such provider. HSBC also rings a bell. And maybe Santander too? So be sure to check the small print before wasting an application.0

If there are fees involved in both transfers you'll be better off just transferring her debt straight over to the 0% card. No point making two transfers if you don't need to.0
