in Credit cards
Hello,
Does anyone know if your credit card is activated if you scan the card in at a contactless payment machine? Or change the pin number at an ATM machine?
Also, if your card has a secondary cardholder will that person's card be automatically activated when the primary cardholder's card it activated at the same time? Or doing it separately is required?
Thanks.

You usually have to call up to activate the card.
And you can't make a contactless payment until you have made at least one payment with the chip and pin method.
Additional cards are the same - a separate call to activate, chip and pin payment first to activate contactless feature.0 -
The credit (or debit card) usually arrives with a sticker on it with the instructions how to activate it. And you definitely can't activate it by tapping it on the contactless machine (I tried it several days ago). The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.0

i got both of them activated without calling up. I changed the pin number which automatically activated the cards.0
