Do you have a comping system?

My comping has become very erratic and because of this I don't seem to be entering many at the moment.
So I thought I would ask if you have a system that I could maybe try to get me back on track.

I might do a few C2Ws then a few Twitter, then read the CCC, then get disturb by the phone/hubby/dogs/need a wee/need a cuppa tea, when I come back I might do a few from the end of the boards a few from the beginning of the boards get bored and play a few games :rotfl:

So do you have a system?
Do you do an order each day?
Do you do a different social media each day?

Let me know your system, I must get a set way and stick to it especially with the Advents starting a week today :eek:

I update the mag daily thread first thing

Enter mag dailies

Add any new dailies to my bookmarks then enter all my dailies

Then end date starting from tomorrow

I have got very behind with actually entering anything from the main board so to try and get ahead of myself I've been skimming through the end dates and just entering for higher value prizes, then when i'm a few days ahead i'll start entering for the smaller prizes I want as well.

And what gives when the Advents happen along, do you stop certain comps for the Advents or do you try to spend more time comping or do you ignore the Advents?

I tend to do 'my' dailies first (the one's I've saved in my favourites, there's not that many tbf).

Then I try catch up on the main board.

If I get chance I'll have a look at twitter.

And I'll have a go at some magdailies if I have any time after that....

I do a bit of everything if it's a prize I want basically just go down the list in order. Unless it's something I really really want I avoid fb that make sharing a requirement as it's against the rules anyway.

I have bookmarked the advents so far that i'm interested in but I don't want to spend 3 hours a day trying to win a box of chocolates and ignore 'normal' comps. Last year I actually gave up on advents a third of the way through as it was ruling my life. Will see how long I last this year :rotfl:

Every day I go back to the page from where I left the day before. Like this morning I went back to page 19 and carried on up to page 1. Then tomorrow it will be back to where I finished to do the comps that after listed after I finish today. Then I just do them in the order they are listed.

Probably what most do. It means I am always up to date.

My system involves checking out the daily thread (thanks to Lizd31 for keeping this updated) and Magazine Dailies thread (thanks to xLuckyxAshxWinsx for taking this on). Then its off to other sites where I do the ending today and closing soon. Then its the enter early section and then I just work my way through "The One List" over on CDB. Then I rearrange the display format on MSE and have a quick glance at competitions ending today.

I change my system from time to time. I gave up FB years ago when they had a cull and I was faced with having to prove my ID by sending a copy of my passport or driving licence if I wanted to continue using it. I thought that was a step too far. I used to bookmark and enter R/C and gleam and tweet daily, but since finding out I've been shadowbanned, I stopped those. .I now only them once. Even RT's on twitter, I only do a few spaced out here and there. There was a time I used to enter dozens on twitter in an odd ten minutes here and there, but no longer.

At the moment, my routine is to bookmark a few C2W's and do these first thing in the morning, when I wake up and have a cup of coffee along with a few instant wins.

Then it is off to work. At lunchtime at work, I do a few bits of whatever I feel like on my work PC.

Then in the evening, I do some mag daily comps that I have bookmarked, whilst I watch TV.

I do the main board in order of newly bumped and only ever get up to date at the weekend when I have more time.

I have booked a few days holiday from work at the beginning of December, so this will allow me to do some advents as well as some Christmas shopping.

My plan whilst the advents are on is going to be different this year. I am intending to set up a bookmark folder of main board comps that don't finish until after Christmas and bookmark those that I want to enter to get done after Christmas and see if that will allow me more time to do advents.

Last year sleepyjones set up a thread for everyone to bump with advents with good prizes worth more that £100. I found that really useful. Some days, I was able to add lots to the thread for other people with limited time to enter and on other days, I was able to just enter the good ones other people had seen.

Oh - just thought. I always go to compers chat corner first and waste precious comping time chatting to you lot or answering questions.

I work from my comping document.

I usually start with doing my Instant/game dailies, from links I've saved in my document.

Then I end date on the board for comps finishing today. My aim is to do this late morning, but before 12, because I think I catch most freshly posted comps, before they finish. Sometimes, I might end-date again later, because it's really quick to do, if I've already done it, and I do catch a few extras this way that otherwise might've ended by the time I got to them. If I'm busy, I will end date for the next day or two as well. This takes the pressure of having to reach the top of the board later.

I then do my Daily entry comps, from links saved to my document.

Next I do my magazine dailies.

Then I work through the board, trying to reach the top. Sometimes, I start from where I left off on the board, but often I go through them red-x-ing those I don't want to do first, just because it feels better to work through the board with so many red-x-ed.

I don't do C2Ws very often, but I will sometimes do a wee search on them (usually over a weekend, where there are fewer comps posted) and find a handful of prizes that stand out, and I will enter for just those daily - if I have time.

When I'm busy, I am stricter about those I enter.

Similar to Marg, I do very few like/share on FB. And I am cutting out a lot of Tweeting comps because I have also been cursed with this shadowban thing. I think the Gleam entries seem to make it happen more than the ordinary ones. But I haven't completely sussed it yet.

I had a system, but ended up spending so much time comping it did my head in. Now I've reverted to just doing whatever I feel like, though I do have all the different types bookmarked, so I can browse the list and thing, yeah I'll do those now.
