Unusual sound from radiators

Im curious to know what the sound is from the rads.
When the pump switches off, its as if the rads breath a sigh of releif and contract slighlty, the sound is hard to describe, sounds a bit like metal fatigue. Or handful of sand being sprinkled about.
Its a new boiler and pump etc. The rads never did this with the old pump.
Its NOT one of these sounds;
bubbling, gurgling, hissing, knocking, banging
