Built in Fridge/Freezer Cupboard removal

Hi
Looking to replace a built in fridge freezer with a free standing one and just wonder what would be underneath the cupboard in terms of flooring?
There is a bit of chipboard that the cupboard seems to be on top of. Will this be a raise of somekind or a solid piece?
I ask as I want to know if there would be any problems removing the cupboard and what the floor will be underneath. I know that it won't be tiled.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would expect the kitchen floor to run right under all the units, basic floor only, as you say....not tiled.
Are there other units beside it? Normally all the units would be sitting on legs of some sort then the plinth board, the vertical thing, is clipped onto the legs and should be able to be removed quite easily.0
