does anyone know if you can claim ppi on behalf of a friend if they can`t do it. would have a letter from friend saying I am acting on their behalf. ta.

Yes, you could - much like the claims companies.

Simply help your friend write their complaint letter and they sign it.
Why complicate matters further?
