Evening, apologies I haven't searched the forum to see if my answer is contained within.
I have debt and I've approached an organisation called the debt advisory service. After discussing options it seems that an IVA may be the way to go. I've been asked to provide certain documents including one of my partner's pay slips just to show total income, I can remove all identifying information from it. We have no joint debts at sll. She is very concerned that this will affect her. The only way I can see that it would is if we have joint debts like a mortgage. Is this right?
Thanks

Yes that’s correct.
Debt are specific to individuals, not addresses, couples, or anything else, unless you have a joint product together.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Bear in mind that the Debt Advisory Service, despite its name, is not a debt advisory service. It solely exists to sell IVAs.
If you want independent advice, try National Debtline.
It sounds like you don't have a joint mortgage and may not own property. Why is an IVA the way to go?0
