  • However it was charged . .
But was it actually ever charged? You say you didn't see it on the statement.
  • I don't know. I don't have paperwork. But if they have paid me some Plevin money does that mean I had PPI? Maybe I had it for a number of months then cancelled I just don't know. But surely if it wasn't being charged then it would be a straight " no I didn't have ppi"?

No, it's quite possible to have a ppi policy attatched to a credit card, but not pay anything.
I had ppi on a credit card but never paid a penny in ppi charges.
  • Can you add new information to the claim once they have made a decision. At the time of getting the credit card I now remember my partner having substantial savings. Been reading in to it and looks like if there's substantial savings this could highlight a reason why I would choose not to have PPI

Your card your debt your responsibility to pay.
You could have had substantial savings in your own name and it would not have made any difference - one day after being accepted you could have spent the lot.

Yes but at the time of sale if you have substantial savings this seems to be a big factor to the banks wether some one would want to take out ppi as if you were sick/ redundant you would be able to live on those savings and not have a need to rely on ppi protection

What financial impact are you referring to?
    IF
you ever paid any ppi, it would have been around 75p. per £100 outstanding balance . .

No it is not as my post indicated.
Some people will be turned down for an overdraft but accepted for a loan or credit card with the same bank!
Credit card debt is unsecured although in theory they could try and set off debt if you hold a sole bank account and card with the same bank.
