AMEX 'In Credit' balance to bank account?

I paid for a package holiday through Jet 2 that I've unfortunately had to cancel. I paid on my American Express card. Jet 2 customer services have happily refunded me the amount but this will be refunding straight to my credit card. I asked if there was a way of sending this to my bank instead but I was told they couldn't.

So my AMEX balance is going to hugely in credit in which in all fairness I could do with in my bank so I can send the money back to the other travellers.

Is this possible?

Just contact Amex and they should put it back onto your bank account within a few days.
