Double glazing - rights to cancel

Signed contract for double glazing during home visit last night. At the time, was informed of 7 day cancellation rights?
Does the law require the company to offer this? I thought it was 14 days not 7 or is it different if you invite someone into your home.
In case anyones interested, today I've been reading some bad reviews about company in question. Dunraven.

They seem dead keen to get surveyor around to measure properly. Phoned me 12 times today and left 8 messages....
Can they get out of the cancellation if they try to say its a custom order and they've started making it?0 -
What does your contract say? You have less rights if you've invited them than if they were cold callers, but if the contract says 7 days what's the issue? They can't have started making them if they haven't measured up yet, can they? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I'm in a similar situation. We signed up with crystal windows and cancelled on the 7th day and they are saying because it was after closing time. We can't cancel? It just stipulates that we need to cancel in 7 calender days not by closing time. Help please!!!0

You'll probably get more answers if you start a new thread with your specific question. But as a starting point, maybe put in the wording of the contract that relates to the cancellation rights. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
