Morning everyone,
Still breezy here after a rough old night, was awake a lot in the night listening to the wind rattling the window frames, didn't help that DOH was downstairs on the sofa watching the cricket so his half of the bed was cold!
Off to get some food shopping this morning and then over to the yard for some time with my girlie, the new WM is installed and has been manfully working it's way through the laundry
Have taken some salmon out of the freezer so that will be supper sorted, have a hankering for some baked fennel so hopefully there will be some available in the SM.
Get well wishes to Gers DM and all other poorlies, enjoy your hair appointment Holly it's surprising what a difference a good cut and colour can make!
Have a good day folks x0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
I wild night here too, its still breezy, I have the towels on the line they should dry ok.
Another decent night so feeling a bit more human today. The chaps are here this afternoon to demolish the shed and put up the new one. OH says the wood on the top panel is soaking, so I hope its not going to bow like the other one did.
All day breakfast for supper tonight.0 -

Gers - I bought, on behalf of my mum, new straps for my step-dad's fitbit. Would that be an easier/cheaper option?
Would have certainly been cheaper, however her gadget was fairly old and the newer ‘improved’ version is easier for to read, gives more info and is easier to charge up. Seemed a good excuse to upgrade and DM is delighted!
I’m luxuriating in a lazy morning and gearing myself up for a busy afternoon.0 -

Morning all.
After yesterdays dreadful weather the sun has come out :j. Still soggy underfoot though.
I have been busy this morning making corned beef pasties, with the hindrance ( sorry help ) of Mr Fix It. Paul Holywood he isn't, as he's not a natural baker, but he does try........... my patience mostly :rotfl:. Anyway I have frozen some uncooked and some are now cooking in the oven. We will probably have pasty and chips for tea.
I am waiting for the pasties to finish cooking, then I'm going to prep my pigs in blankets and freeze them, ready for Xmas dinner as I'm not keen on the shop bought ones.
This afternoon I have a bit of ironing to do, only about 6 items so that's not too bad.
Tonight I am going to the theatre :j. DD bought us tickets to see a psychic medium, Alun Havard.
We went a couple of years ago to see another one, can't remember his name and had a great time. I've told DD to sit on her hands if a message comes through this time  !
Right coffee break over, so will take the pasties out, they smell lovely.
Hugs all round.
P.S. Gers I hope your Mum feels better soon.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
So much for the new shed..... they started to demolish the original shed and discovered that the new one is damaged and part of it has not been properly made, I am so angry............... I told OH he has to make the decision what to do, I am sick and tired of having to make all the decisions in this house. I have come in and told him to get on with it himself.
Both sheds are now on the front lawn awaiting collection tomorrow, it will be at least another week before we can get a new one delivered., and god know how much longer before we get it put up.0 -
NW you've just made me think I really should get my Runestones out; I haven't tried reading them for simply ages, just haven't had the energy or been in the right frame of mind.
Today is Mr LW's visit to the consultant, so everything is geared up for that; I've typed out a "timeline" document of when his cough started, who he's seen and when, what long-tern meds he's currently on, and all that. All he has to actually remember to mention is that he had double pneumonia when he was a child (I gather it can leave scarring on the lungs) as this might be a salient factor.
Csarina I'd be spitting neutrinos in your situation. Have you got somewhere you can safely store the shed contents? If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon everyone :hello:
It's a very bright but windy day here today and I have the heating on as it is so cold. I have just heard from the hospital that Becky wants to try and come home for an overnight stay tomorrow. She only wants to stay for the one night so I have been trying to organize transport for her. Fortunately, the community team have allowed one of her support workers to pick her up and bring her here so Jemima has offered to take her back on Saturday. I am very much looking forward to seeing Becky again but I am worried that it will all go wrong again.
I am off to see my doctor this afternoon as I am having a lot of palpitations. I am sure it is down to stress but I need to have it checked out as there is a horrible history of heart disease in both sides of my family. I am thinking calming thoughts.
No idea what to make for dinner tonight. I have some chicken breasts defrosting so I may make a chicken and ham filo pie. I had a very fed up kind of day yesterday and the girls were getting on my nerves and I am sure I was getting on theirs. I decided to make a party tea to lighten the mood. The girls thought I was bonkers and Steve was a bit baffled too but beige food did the trick and we all cheered up.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx
P.S Cross posted with you LameWolf, I hope the consultant appointment goes well for Mr LW x0 -

Afternoon folks
Still windy here and chilly. DH woke up with a cold and I think I am starting it too. Straight to runny nose bypassing the sore throat. No surprise really as DGS has had one.
I have washing out and fingers crossed. Chilli con carne in the slow cooker. Not much else going on here. DH has gone to M*rrisons to buy salad and milk as we are having omelettes for lunch. He is also going to look at their own brand peanut butter that is solely peanuts. Since I noticed that our fave brand Whole Earth now has palm oil in it I have been looking for a substitute. I have seen one called Pic but it is £4.00 a jar!
Hugs to poorlies and worried. LW sending positive vibes for this afternoon's consultant visit. Jackie O hope your daughter's foot heals quickly. Gers hope mum feels better soon.
Have a good afternoon folks and keep warm.
