Hello,
I have a home insurance policy which has auto-renewed; does the 14 day cooling off period apply as a consequence - or is it only for new policies?
Thanks,
Noz

The cooling off applies to new business and renewals on annually renewable consumer contracts.
It starts the later of the start date or the date you received docs.
Be warned though, you may still have a fee to cancel even if in cooling off.0 -
cancellation rights does not mean free. You would pay for days on cover and possibly an admin charge.
The scenario may be different if you have dual insured with the same renewal date.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
