Safe to apply for a Credit Card as an Agency worker?

With my agencies, I've joined them in August after being unemployed for 5 months. I've only done it part time with them, but recently I've worked full time, as they always have jobs available for almost everyday.
I have no credit history, no criminal records, and I found a few credit cards that are said to be a perfect match using clearscore and experian free services. However I wonder if me being an agency worker is a deal breaker, they don't tell you too much as to why you were denied if your application was rejected.
I want to apply for a credit card soon, and start building my credit score. I just need to know if me being an agency worker would get me denied. Thank you

Perhaps - but some will be less inclined than others. Use the eligibility checker to give yourself the best chance.0

Barclays sent me a letter saying I am eligible for a Barclaycard. I used the test online and I am sure I wrote nothing wrong, it says I am not eligible. Clearscore and Experian both referred to me the same Virgin credit card for 90% chance, did the eligiblity checker too, and said I wasn't eligible. I work full time and live with parents. I pay some bills and never missed a month. No debt whatsoever nor ever used a loan.0

The problem (for want of a better verb) may that you live at home with your parents, so you don't have a track record of paying your own way - rent/mortage, utilities, phone, etc - stuff that's in your own name. On this basis you may be seen to providers as high risk.
Agency work itself shouldn't be the straw that breaks the camel's back so to speak - money's money and job's a job after all. You may want to look at possibly the Aqua Reward card which is marketed as a credit builder card (with cashback) which may open other doors in the future for you.0
