Hi,

Im trying to plumb in a dishwasher and washing machine to the same water outlet and waste trap. I have purchased a brass Y piece and McAlpine V33WM Twin Connector.

I cant find instructions or a video on how to do this, can anyone talk me through it?

DO i need to remove number 1 in the pic? the bottom of the twin connector is the exact same size as number 1, so im assuming it replaces it. Do i need to get a new no.2 also?

eta: the trap on screwfix had some extra bits than the one I bought on amazon.... https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-appliance-trap-40mm-white/95241?kpid=95241&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&cm_mmc=Google-_-Shopping%20-%20Plumbing-_-Shopping%20-%20Plumbing&gclid=CKiDl6WewscCFY6RGwodgVgDMw&kpid=95241
