Previous Capital One PPI rejection claim! Have received letter re court ruling?

Hi all :)
Wondering if anyone can help.. I was previously rejected by Capital One for mis-sold ppi, which I then escalated to the Ombudsman; who also rejected. I applied from an application form I got in a magazine and they said I ticked the box (i don't remember doing so), there was nothing whatsoever that said what ppi was etc.

Anyway, I received a letter today saying I can complain again; something about a court ruling.. Can someone advise how I go about this and or has anyone else had the same experience with Capital One?

Many Thanks in advance x

  • It's re the Plevin ruling which deals with commission.

Let them know if you want them to look at it. It's not a reopening of our complaint - that ship has now sailed.

You cannot complain again. You are still rejected. However, there is a new area which may allow for a partial refund and you can raise that with them. Look at the site article on Plevin. Or just read the letter you got that tells you what to do.
