Stamp Duty for married couples

Hi, my wife and I recently got married.
I bought my house before we met and it is only my name on the Mortgage.
Is my wife still classed as a first time buyer and would we be exempt from paying stamp duty if and when we move house?
Thanks,
Al

Not if you purchase as a couple. You are not a FTB and therefore as a couple, you are not and therefore not entitled to the exemption.0

Yes, if all of the below apply:- she has never owned any property
- she buys the new house in her own name only
- the value of the property is £300k or less
