Black Friday Sale's? Are they fake?

I've just drove to a major retail store approx 1 hour away to buy a bag advertised online for £50 reduced down from £80 in their Black Friday sale on their website.

After getting home i've just went to open the sealed bag and on the bag label there is a price sticker of £40 clearly put on there from the manufacturer or retailer?

Surely this is false advertising for a major advertiser?

Could just be a mistake by someone in the manufacturing process before the bag was sealed? If you want to drive back to the store for £10 then you could certainly go and ask them for it, the issue you could have is that it might be difficult to prove it was on there if it was a sealed bag? Do the stickers match the same design as the £50 tag?

There was no other price stickers on the bag, except the one on display in the store which slows previous in store price and current Back Friday sale price, i will email and ask about it as the price tag sticker is definitely one put on the bag from the manufacturer or retailer, so to advertise this in a Black Fridays sale when the true price is actually less than the sale price inshore and online?

Well so there is a big difference here, the manufacturer may put in a RRP but the retailer can sell it for whatever price they want it's up to you to deem the goods worth the asking price or not. If it is that then you don't have a false advertising case as the retailer wasn't advertising anything besides the price of £50 which you accepted.

Probably sold in a previous sale for £40.

Bad customer service to leave it there though, as it will only offend!
