The anti diesel campaign is obviously having an effect on some people.
If your car is reliable and you can afford it, keep it until it dies.
BBC did an experiment a while ago, and as part of the reporting it was stated that a diesel 59 plate skoda octavia produced less NOx in real world driving than a newer diesel model did, despite the fact that the newer model meets Euro 6 emissions in the lab.0 -
I run a 2008 207 1.4HDI and I get moon mileage out of a tank of diesel and it's only £30 a year to tax too.
No way would I scrap it in for a discount on a new car. Not like I could afford one and I'm not interested in paying monthly either.0
