    If you are using a tumble dryer at night make sure it is one of the safe ones as many are not and the manufacturers are a bit slow in modifying them. See

    Most dryer problems are due to fluff buildup because the owners dont clear out the filters frequently enough.

    A suggestion to use a tumble dryer is to get it to switch on in the morning so it uses the last hour or so of the off peak period but you are just about waking up as well and so able to check on it.

    Don't forget that a smoke alarm saves lives, so make sure you've got one and check that it's working by testing it regularly and changng the batteries when needed
    Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
