missed car insurance deadline, what to do?

    When you take out motor insurance with Aviva they offer you autorenewal. (You aren't forced to have it if you don't want it)


    (My post was in answer to camelot1971 who has incorrectly advised it's an obligation for motor insurers to autorenew a policy)

    I wouldn't worry about ANPR. I inadvertently drove without tax for three months (forgot about the renewal, and didn't get reminder as changed address), so effectively drove without valid insurance during that period.

    Your insurance is not invalidated by your car not being taxed
