ADT cancellation

Hi,
My 3 year contract with ADT expired in August and I want out. I have tried calling them as their website says but always stuck in a queue.
I've tried emailing their customer service dept but they responded saying call the number...
Q: Can I stop my Direct Debit as a way of terminating the agreement? My contract says they need three months' notice! I'm worried they will send me an invoice for 3 months if I cancel the DD.
Thanks!

It would certainly get their attention, which is what you're trying to do.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

It would also hit your credit record.0

Just write a letter and send it to their address with proof of postage.
Then cancel your DD after the 3 months notice is finished.
Job done.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
Thanks all. I'll do the letter and swallow the 3 months extra.0
