Short Brussels Trip

Hi.
Looking to go to Brussels early next year. Can’t take two much time off work. Would a long weekend be enough to see everything? I’ve been hearing conflicting things. Some people say Brussels isn’t that big and you can see it all in a couple of days. If that is the case, is it worth doing a day trip from Brussels to Brugge, Ghent, etc?
Also any tips on what we can see or do?
Will be travelling via Eurostar.
Thanks.

No, you cannot see everything (or anything like) but of course can have a wonderful time there.0
