Hotpoint washing machine not draining

My Hotpoint washing machine is not draining.
I thought it was the pump because you can hear the relay clicking when it should drain but nothing happens. So I have installed a new one but I get the same problem.
I get the error E3, which says to check the pump and trap.
All the wiring seems OK back to the control box.
I have read somewhere that it could be a pressure sensor or even the door sensor???
Any ideas
