Child Tax Credits 16 +

Hi there, I wonder if anyone could clarify a couple of things for me?
I currently home educate my son, who will turn 16 in March 2018. We are currently looking into an 'Education Other Than At School' provision from the Local Authority as there isn't a suitable college within a reasonable distance from home (he has complex needs). If approved, he would receive a mixture of provision from tutors and therapists and I would carry on working with him at home to top up the work they do.
I know that you can carry on receiving Child Tax Credits if you choose to home educate but I couldn't see anything on the website that specifically relates to EOTAS and what, in our case, would probably be a mixture of the two. Does anyone know if this would still qualify as full time education? And if so, do I need to send them the information before his birthday (March 2018) or wait until August 2018 (which is when the website says they will pay it till regardless.
Many thanks in advance
