Please help

Hi

I am new to the site and am looking for some advice please.

My boyfriend is mentally ill and receives PIP and HB. If I were to move in with him.... would he lose all his benefits? And would I have to pay everything.

We have been together a while and the next step is for us to move in with each other.

I work and get a reasonably good wage but have loads of my own bills and am worried that if i move in with him i won't be able to afford to live.

I am so confused.

Does any one have any advice please?

Thanks so much

PIP isn't means tested so he would continue to get it. HB is means tested so you would be assessed as a couple for that
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

If he's mentally ill he could potentially claim ESA / UC. If he received the Income Related version then your wage, with the exception of a small disregard, would be taken into account.
