HMRC/advantis

Apologies if this is the wrong forum

i claimed tax credit from Aug-Dec 2015 HMRC then claimed i wasnt entitled to it which i disputed while this was happening they passed it on to Advantis.i continued talking to HMRC and eventually they agreed they were at fault and i didnt owe what they had claimed and told me they would get in touch with Advantis to advise them i didnt owe this debt (they maintain still that they have done this)
i then claimed tax credits again from Aug 2016-Jul2017 and i actually was overpaid during this period. Advantis once again got in touch and i came to agreement to pay for what i believed was the year ended Apr 2017.
i have since received notification from HMRC about this debt and they said its not been passed on. hearing this i contacted Advantis once again and they informed me the debt i was paying was for year ended Apr 2015, a period in which i wasnt working or claiming tax credits and HMRC have never asked me for any payment for this period.

everythings a huge mess with Advantis harassing me over the debt i stopped paying on when i found it was for a period i didnt owe. the DCA tell me to talk to HMRC which ive done. HMRC tell me they have done all they can and cant i talk to Advantis to refer it back to them.

Sorry if this isnt clear if anyone has any specific questions or advice on what i can do i would be grateful
