“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”

Good morning,
Well it's very wet today but the sun is trying to break through! So I'm having a cuppa at home before going to town.
Need to sit and meal plan then shopping list and do tomorrow's budget too. Want to try and skim as much as I can into the new bills account for the 15th. I'm also going to call again and see if I can maybe change it for further away because I'll still need to top the prepayment meters up this week so can't save that. Although I'll have next weeks £30 that should go on the meters. Anyway it will all work out.
DS is away to the cinema today with school as his classroom is used as the polling station.
Hope you all have a lovely day

I'm not sure you can have more than one Paypal account WF unless one is a business one. It might be worth checking on the ebay boards as you don't want them to ban you altogether."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you Jwil didn't think of that will have a look

Afternoon
Smalls home and eating dinner - a random mix of use it upsbut they're happy
DS had a good day at the cinema.
Have wrote the meal plan and shopping list. It's at nearly £24 and I still need to add fabric conditioner and shampoo/conditioner to itSo maybe £20 is just unrealistic for every week without cutting back too much!
E D F have text confirming they will be here Tuesday and I received the mail from them this morning with the direct debit details etc. The normal customer service line said I couldn't change the date of the first payment but I can change them after that if needed, which isn't really helpfulbut it's not the end of the world.
No word from the water company, I have to wait for them to receive the letter explaining why I think I should qualify even though I don't have debt with them. So I expect it won't be very quick.
Tax credits still on step 2 ... but better than stuck on step one.
No more updates. Slightly boring reallyThe weather has been to wet to hang around outside so came straight back home after my appointment and got stuck in with cleaning.
Hope you've all had a good day

Sounds like you're getting everything sorted bit by bit, frustrating when everything takes so long and you just want to get on with it though. The gas/electric monthly payment is high, I thought mine was at £138 a month, although this has gone down to £88 as I was too much in credit. I know people who only pay £45 a month but they are out all day, my trouble is Mr SA is in all day with the heating and TV on.
Have a nice relaxing evening, put your feet up for once, you deserve it xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Would the MP's office be able to push the tax credits on a bit for you?
Worth a phone call?

I think you're amazing if you can do it for four of you on £24. But it does just go to show that meal planning, not wasting and cooking from scratch is definitely what to do. You should write a book - you'd make a fortune.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
I'd be wary of using the "citizen" type cards for ID.
i was looking at that, and got told more than once, that companies prefer "state / gov issued" ID.
i was able to open a basic bank account with a blue badge a couple of years ago though! having asked them, and them phoning head office etc, i just went in with way more other bills etc that probably swayed them into thinking, he surely is who he says he is beyond all reasonable doubt! from memory i took more than a years worth of some bills, and more than the usual 3 months.
at some cost, after having to do things like this, i got a passport, no intention of going abroad as yet, but it is easier, sadly not the most cost effective form of ID though!0 -
I used a Citizencard as photo id to fly on an aeroplane (Easy Jet) and found that most places will accept it as id. It's backed by the Association of Chief Police Officers, the Trading Standards Institute and the Security Industry Authority.
I'm glad DS enjoyed his cinema trip. Your term times are very different than ours. We had two weeks at Easter and have one week coming up in three weeks time for half term.

I think it's high SA. It's not much different to what I'm paying now and the unit prices are definitely lower so it does feel quite high. Although it's not more than I pay now so we will see what happens. We do use more electric than usual with things youngest has, and my washing
but not really the TV and no computers etc. Although maybe I will drink less cuppa's :rotfl:
Beanie it says expect a response by the 29th May on the tracker. I'm just impatientand constantly checking 100 times a day
If it over runs though I will definitely contact MP thank you.
Thank you TF. It's all pretty basic foodbut it's healthier than some families eat I guess.
Paypal replied saying Driving License/passport or official government issues photo ID. I don't know what that is so have asked what they accept under that one.
Thank you DB I think I will save and send of for a provisional eventually.
