I've finally got the living room finished!“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0

Kitchen nearly finished
Just need to stop and feed the smalls and put a roast on for them later.
Going to move onto the stairs next even though I said I wasn't until after Xmas. It will probably take until after Xmas though as there's 17 doors to be painted out there  Will just do it slowly over the next week or so. Which will mean there's only my room left to do after Xmas.
I still think it's quite dark in the living room! But it's clean at least.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
I bet it looks amazing! And if it's dark, could you treat yourself to a few fairy lights to make it 'hygge'?
As for 17 doors... :eek:I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I think I'll get new blinds
 Not very MSE :rotfl:
But it's Christmas rightI've text mum asking her anyway :rotfl: Bit forward but I'd prefer it to the usual she gets - spends a fortune on things that don't get used
Not sure she will though, I usually ask for a food shop but she doesn't like doing it because it's not something that will last - blinds will last
If she says no I might just use the grocery budget and buy them myselfI don't want it to be open for all to see in anymore!

That's up the stairs too :rotfl:
But I've never lived in a house with as many doors. There's 5 small ones too
There's more doors than wall :rotfl:“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Okay while the first coat on the kitchens drying enough I'm going to go and do my upstairs chores. Dunk the kids in the bath and do their hair (DD expects me to blow dry her hair and things on a Sunday :rotfl:)
Then they can eat their roast and be settled down with an Xmas movie for the activity a day for today.
Then I'll finish the kitchen and clean it properly when I've done.
Looks like it will be another 4am finish :rotfl:“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
