Being totally honest I'm just working on the basis of I'm not entitled and if I am then great but if not at least I haven't been expecting it.
I have no heating and hot water and it can't be repaired until the 6th! Smalls are going to stay with mum for the weekend again I think
But I have lots to get on with either way.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

They've been out (twice) but it needs a new part or something which won't be here until Wednesday.
They provide a plug in blow heater but it's eating electric quicker than the kids can eat chocolate
It's not too much of a problem for me. The shower is electric so can use that to wash up etc in the bath and fill mop bucketsx

If our heating doesn't work (and we don't have your issues) there is an emergency number and they fix it. OK, it might not be perfect but something is sorted out on a temporary basis. That really is not good enough.
Totally agree with this.
There must be an emergency number to call.:mad:on your behalf.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Are they going to pay for the additional electricity used?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I doubt it :rotfl:
I don't mind, I'm just glad I don't have to cover the repair
I have plenty to keep busy and warm and if I decide against doing the to do list I'll grab a duvet for the sofa :rotfl:“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

What would happen if you had one of these power cards things that you had to pay for in advance and you didn't have any money. Can understand that you do have some access to hot water in an emergency but seriously really not good enough.
I actually do pay for my electric this way luckily though today is 'top up day' or I'd have been a bit worried about running out mid week!“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Oh no poor you, you must be freezing. That's a long time to have to wait
.
Unfortunately the landlord has probably fulfilled his legal obligations by giving you an electric heater and the fact that you can't afford to run it is ignored by the authorities . Everything really is stacked against the poor unfortunately, it's a very unfair system .
I hope you have some warm clothes to wear. Can you cook and make hot drinks? I presume it's the boiler that has gone wrong? It never rains but it pours.
