I am a teensy bit worried that your Mum is treating the smalls to a bunch of expensive activities and will come back at you for money down the track. Do stick to your agreement if she does, WF. We've got your back.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

I was thinking the same as armchairexpert, I hope she doesn't add to what's need her for days out with the little ones.
Glad to hear you have been resting and having some time to yourself. Your posts sound so much more positive/healthier than a week ago xLBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

It had crossed my mind too but right now I don't have much choice. I just hope me keep reminding her of our agreement is enough.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0

Hope everyone has a good day x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
If your Mum DOES push her luck WF, then as someone else said - stand your ground - "Sorry Mum, I simply don't have that money - you understood when you took the children that any costs incurred aside from what we'd agreed had to be your responsibility" - keep it to straight clear facts as much as possible as that's less easy for her to argue. Fingers crossed though that it won't turn into a problem - but whatever, DON'T put yourself further into a corner financially!
Well done on sorting the Council Tax! :T
I was pleased to see your little look back on the start of your old diary back there - you really have come on so far, and you'll continue to make steps to get to where you want to be too, I'm quietly confident of that! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I agree with all EH has said although my gut feeling is that just maybe Mum is beginning to understand your difficulties. I do hope so.
Are you still taking the painkillers? I hope you'll go back to your GP if it's not getting any better.
One day at a time and you'll get there. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Me and Mum are definitely still on totally different pages. So much so I am really considering putting some distance back in the relationship. Smalls or not there's only so much someone can push without knocking things over.
Smalls will be back sooner than we decided. Need to get together and sorted for that.
I will get to where I want. Even if that is alone
TF. New painkillers, new injury, new a&e visit over the weekend. Think I have two left feet. The first hasn't totally been fixed yetAll in good time though. It'll be fine just a pain literally.

Have meal planned and lifted some things out the freezer. Need to pop to a supermarket for some fresh stuff. Fruit/Milk and bread. Have around £13 left in the bank so will be enough.
Not sure when she will drop smalls in but at least I'm ready then.
Have nearly caught up on my to do list too. Going to sit tonight and do the lists again for going forward. I want to change some bits.
Hope everyone had a good day x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Sorry to hear that you're injured again - and hope that this genuinely is just a "you fell over something" type thing? Glad to hear the smalls are headed home but are you definitely OK to be managing for them as well as yourself? It'll be great to have them back though eh!
Do what you need to do with your Mum - but try to make sure you take control a bit where you can. Sometimes just being in the driving seat for a bit in a relationship can shed a totally different light on it I think.
Above all, remember the lessons you've learned about taking it a bit easier of late -0 do NOT start running yourself ragged as soon as the little ones are back - "good enough" is just that - it's good enough!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
