2.5 hours holiday left this year - payment instead?

If you do 8 hr shifts could you not use the 3.5 hrs by having a half day's holiday and taking 30 mins unpaid?0

Yes, paying it or allowing you the leave is the easiest way to solve the issue. I appreciate the company have said they don't pay for leave, and that shifts are 8 hours, but have you actually had the conversation about these specific 3.5 hours with them? Because if you've had a discussion with them it seems odd that it was left without a resolution of some sort. It can be easy to assume that you can't leave a shift early because 'those are the rules' when actually if you proposed it as a solution they may agree.

What I'd do is ask them how they will honour the leave - say you're happy to take the time, or be paid, and let them decide how to do it.' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
have you asked?because i can't finish any shift early.0
