PPI Claims - No details at all...where do I start?

Hi everyone.
I apologise now as I am sure that this kind of question is asked on a very regular basis but I have scrolled through posts and posts and the amount of information is a bit overwhelming.
I want to look into whether I was mis-sold PPI. Between being 18 and 25 (2003 & 2010) I took out a lot of credit. I was very silly and out of control at the time. Any accounts that I had have been closed and settled for at least six years so are not recorded on my credit file nor do I have any paperwork, statements or account numbers.
I know for definite that I had an Egg Card and a Tophop Store Card. I think I may have had a Natwest Overdraft and a Capital One Card. Again, I don't know what dates I would have taken these out. On top of that, between these dates I moved house at least four times so have numerous previous addresses.
Please can anybody advise what the best starting point is for me or whether it is even worth looking into due to having no information about the accounts.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Firstly look on these lenders websites on their PPi complaints pages, that will tell you what you need to do, for example, phone a dedicated helpline, or fill in a PPI enquiry form. Supply full name, DOB and previous addresses, see what happens.0

Always keep a copy file of correspondence with each lender. As so many have been taken over by other companies (some have retaken over their old divisions they sold). Some you may have insured and some not, whatever its called the company needs to do a search. The more info about yourself the easier and more likely a positive response. Getting your address when you took out card/loan/OD and when you repaid it can produce results. I am on £20k refund received so far (Lloyds etc) and still working on the elusive AA Finacial Services Ltd who refer you to MBNA who will probably refer me back to AA as there is nothing on their web site about the old company they took over.0
