Temp work when currently on ESA

Ok so I have a interview for a well paid temp job but im currently on ESA so worried even if I get it (odds are very low though, as been out of work over 5 years and its a big business and good job hence well above NMW) that if I last the whole duration I will have to reapply for ESA from scratch and the rates have gone down and I will need reassessed.
Don't want anyone saying I am lazy or intentionally staying on benefits though as im looking for part time work to build back up my experience and confidence then gradually move to full time when I can handle it.
3 months full time work I could handle as from past experience its the point where I get overwhelmed and should I get offered more work after that its a bonus.
Just worried about it, I am going to attend the interview just worried.
Just wanted some feedback.

I started as a 48 Hour temp, turned into a 4 year position - I would go for it0

You’re either fit for work or you’re not?0 -
Dekaspace . I'm not being critical or judgemental here . One of the effects of long term benefit dependency is a fear of what happens if you try something and it doesn't work out .
I'm glad you are going to the interview and wish you luck .
Meanwhile I've said this before on other threads you've posted re work trials etc . I understand the Autism colours your perception but please try not to let past experiences lead to negative thinking once again . You've had coaching and support . Put the past in the past where it belongs , it's over and can't be changed . Have some faith in your abilities and prepare everything you need in advance and allow plenty of time to get there . If you want to move forward it's the only way . If you are lucky enough to get the job just take each day as it comes you may not get overwhelmed this time or exhausted .

Its not that, if it was a 2 month temp job it would be fine as I could go back on ESA at the old rate, if 12 or more weeks it becomes a new claim which means new assessment and £30 less per week than I currently get.
It was why I was looking at permitted work on ESA than go full time.
Actually had not much if any real coaching or support, my job coach just arranged a few trails for me and let me get on with it, so the support was him arranging them,
I actually already have a job lined up its just it has no start date.0 -
Your odds are not low of getting a temp job as most people will not apply as they will not leave a full time position for a temp job.
I got my break through a temp job. I had been out the work environment for 6 years  (I was not on benefits all that time) no one else would consider me.
4 years later I am still there and was recently given a large pay rise.
I had the same doubt what if it doesn't work I will lose my right for JSA I did not have to take the job as it was above the hours I had to look for work. However I wanted to work so took a chance, best thing I did gave me back so much confidence after being a SAHM for so long, got me talking to adults about business rather than babies/children.
I know its hard to make that jump but you feel better for it, and if the worse happens and you don't its only for three months you can survive that long.0 -

A job with no start date is not a job.
From what you've told us before your job coach has been very helpful. You've achieved more with their support than you have for many years before.
If you feel that you may struggle around the three month mark then book a week off to have a break.
You cannot base your decision on what may or may not happen in a few months. You may need to claim benefits again in the future, that's true, but equally you may thrive in this job and not need to. You aim for the latter, and do not dwell on the former.0 -

Actually no, I started my volunteer job myself the job coach arranged his appointments or trials on day I was there which has caused problems, he keeps being negative about it, he went on a 7 week patenity leave a few weeks after meeting him, he then went on 2 weeks annual leave, now hes telling me hes going on 2 months more paternal leave as of 2 weeks time.
I was the one who went to local job agencies/clubs and signed up before I even met him, I was the one who started college, I was the one who moved here at the start of the year, who asked for CPN support, who changed my entire diet and sleep pattern and even lost weight.
I was the one who made a new cv and uploaded it and was contacted by this company, he didn't even want me to apply for it because it was temp work and to cause problems with my benefits, I wanted to do it to see if I can.
So yeah at best he was just something that helped with the effort I have already made.
I could of started that other job already but I wanted part time and they only do part time workers in lots due to less of them that and I am at college
And this is a temp job, would be different if it was permanent from the go.0 -
Just a few questions am I reading correctly you applied yourself for this temporary job ?
Do you still do the voluntary one ?
I keep meaning to ask what qualification you hope to achieve at college and whether it is likely to improve your future employment chances or not .
I find it difficult to understand why you spread yourself across different areas when you struggle sometimes with anxiety , stress or exhaustion .
You've had good feedback from other posters here . However hard you need to try to swap negativity for a little positive thinking .
I wasn't sure if you were in the WRAG group but now see you are .
This temp job may become permanent . If you find you do have to make a new claim you'll deal with that if it happens . Focus now should be on the present situation not a future maybe .
The best plan is to budget well , higher than MW should leave space to build a small safety buffer should you need to reapply for benefits .

Have you never heard of something called WORK RELATED esa?
Why should the OP concern themselves with the WRAG when they are in the Support Group? Or do you actually mean Permitted Work, which can be done from Support Group as well?
The job the OP is looking at is full time so Permitted Work doesn't come into it.
I don't know the OPs medical background but I suspect anxiety is an element of it, as they are already worrying about what happens if 3 months down the line they can no longer cope with the job. The reality is the same as for everybody else, if the claims don't link they go back to the assessment phase as a new claim. If eventually they do go back into the Support Group payment will be as now. If they were put into the WRAG payment would remain the same as the assessment phase.0
