E-mail signatures

Hi, i'm looking at adding a couple of referral links to the end of my e-mails. I'm selling a bit on ebay just now and answering and sending lots of e-mails.

How can I place a link, but make it display something else, ie i don't want the whole url just a couple of words to describe the link.

To work with gmail and hotmail please.

Hotmail:
Create a signature from the mail options page. Type some text, highlight it and click the hyperlink button. You can the type in a URL etc

Gmail
Signatures cannot be 'rich text' afaik, so no chance of a hyperlink as per hotmail
