Multiple Loan numbers ... PPI

Hi all

Unaware of PPI, a neighbour said I should just enquire if had ever had it, so lo and behold, it was a YES.

So I lodged a complaint and spoke to a very nice lady who said "yes, I can see you had various loans/ loan numbers, can I lump them together into one PPI number" so said "yes please", she then said "we will write to you and please fill in a questionnaire but remember to complete A QUESTIONNAIRE for EACH POLICY."

On the letter it has reference to five different loan numbers, which is odd as I didn't have five loans, so shall I complete five questionnaires?

Also, as I had savings and was well covered under my own self employed protection cover policy , would I have needed PPI, as I was not in debt?

Thanks in advance!

Loans sold before 2009 had single premium PPI for the most part, also a good complaint reason.

Sounds as if I should fill in a questionnaire for each loan reference number to be safe.

If they were a consolidated chain of loans, you should be ok to just do the one questionnaire...if not, do them all

It sounds like you had a chain of consolidation loans, if this is the case then the PPI was very likely single premium and therefore carried forward (with interest) onto each subsequent consolidation. A very valid complaint.

And, yes, if you want to smooth your complaint and avoid unnecessary delay you should fill in a questionnaire for each loan.
