Bought a fake from eBay

I bought some fake gillette fusion blades from ebay.
There are several articles on the internet showing how to identify fakes, my purchase identifies as fake. Not to mention that they are uncomfortable to use.
I then looked at the sellers negative feedback and it's happened before.

Mentioned to the seller that these are fake, I can prove it and I want my money back.
The seller has said that I can have my money back if I keep the blades.
Is this some sort of liability shift?
Surprisingly, there isnt much on ebay about buying fakes.
Feedback suggests that they have have sold fakes before, yet they are still selling them.

You bought Gillette blades on eBay and are surprised they are fake???

If they are offering you a refund and to keep the product, then go for it! I think they are hoping you won't leave a neg with FAKE mentioned...
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Actually, I have bought Gilette blades many times before on ebay and they have not been fake, so yes, I was somewhat surprised that I happen to hit on a seller of fakes. Maybe I just got lucky before.

On closer look at the response, they are offering £3 refund only, not a full refund.

Update; there is a section on ebay about buying "counterfeits", I used the wrong search term.

Contact Gillete and inform them of the fakes, may take some action.
