Can I 'haggle' a better CC deal?

On my current CC I have 0% on spending for 3 more months - if I give them a call and say I am looking at other alternatives is it likely they can amend my deal? I'm comparing to the things that TV/Phone companies etc do!
You can certainly ask them, assuming you don't have a balance or can pay off the balance, word it like "I'm thinking of closing down the account, however can you do X, Y and Z?" And see what they come back with. If it's not satisfactory simply close the account and apply for a new 0% purchase card.0 -

That is right, but in the scenario you quoted, the bank will get her money back every single month.
In a "0% on purchases" deal, the bank will provide an interest-free loan of maybe several thousands for something like two years. Whether the merchant fee does cover not only the loan but also the setting-up and running the account, is questionable.0
